Fashion Friday - Wardrobe Essentials - TOP 10 Staple Pieces

Last week I talked about what a staple piece actually represents and its purose. Now I will show you which pieces are in my top 10 must have staples and a few extra that you should have as added canvases.

The first group we have the tops.

The cami, racerback Tank, and short sleeve shirt.
These are the basics of the basics that fit with everything. What's great is they can be worn by themselves or paired with other clothes. Depending on your face shape you should either buy v-neck or scoop neck. I try to mostly by v-necks because my face is so round, I don't want to make it rounder with a scoop next, but I can talk more about that later.

The second group is the outerwear.

The button cardigan and blazer.
Blzaers are a great staple piece to have, especially for interviews. But they can also be worn over a casual shirt to give your look a little more business edge. A button cardigan on the other hand is a nice lightweight cardigan to have on hand.

The third group we have are the bottoms.

Jean pants, shorts, and maxi skirt.
Jean pants are always good for them casual days, but you can always spice it up a bit by adding pumps and a blazer. As a good measure dark blue, black, and acid wash colors are always great to get. For shorts, I don't mean denim shorts I mean them trouser/ woven shorts. I find these to be a classic and better looking than denim shorts. And of course a maxi skirt because these are just as verstile as body con pieces.

The forth group is the all versatile group.

The body con skirt and bodycon dress.
The most versatile of them on the bodycon pieces! Wear a bodycon dress as a skirt and throw on a trendy blouse, or as a top and pair it with a circle skirt. Same as a bodycon skirt you can wear it with many different tops. Lose, fitted, oversized they all go great with a bodycon skirt.
